Many times during the registration process, slots disappear as soon as they become available. As a result, tech giants and modern researchers developed solutions that make booking slots easier and faster.

1. Paytm Vaccine Finder

  • Open the Paytm app and scroll down to the Mini App store.
  • Vaccine Finder option will be available, or you can simply search for it using the search icon.
  • Fill in the required details and click on Check availability to check slots.


  • Head over to the site and choose any of the options given below: -
            City - Age Group
            Pincode - Age Group
            States - Districts - Age Group


  • Press the Search button to know about the number of available slots, the earliest date of availability, Center, Area, Pincode, and action.


  • Go to the site and select the Telegram notification option on the bottom.
  • Go under the State and District options and enter the details of your State and District.
  • The channel will appear which informs about the Center name, Available slots, and Date of availability.

4. Co-WIN Slot Notifier

  • Enter the Email address and begin the process of signing up (for security purposes, it doesn’t store the entered email address).
  • Provide the Pincode and Age group of the person. 
  • The tool will show either of the three responses: -
  • No slots right now! Sign up to get alerts when slots open up.
  • Multiple vaccination centers with available slots! Try booking?
  • No vaccination centers are available at this Pincode.


 VaccinateMe is created by the popular health and fitness app, HealthifyMe. It uses the Co-WIN API to help other people find an available slot nearby. This platform also personalizes your search based on your preferences, the cost of the dose, and other criteria.


When registering for the COVID-19 vaccination, any of the following ID proofs can be used: -  

  1. Aadhaar card
  2. Driving license
  3. PAN card
  4. Passports
  5. Pension passbook
  6. NPR Smart card
  7. Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) – voter ID
  8. MNREGA job card


  • There is no registration fee to pay.
  • Vaccination services are provided free of charge at government centers. 
  • Private hospitals do not allow on-the-spot registration without a prior appointment. However, this facility is available in government-run centers.
  • From a single mobile number, a minimum of four people can register.
  • Citizens can choose vaccination centers from a list of private hospitals. However, this service is  not available at government centers.
  • If a person of age 45 or older and another person of age 18 or older want to schedule a combined appointment then this course of action may be available only at private centers or at centers that follow state policy. 



1. Visit the official website of Co-WIN. Click on Register/ Sign in.

2. Verify your mobile number with OTP (One Time Password). 

    Register for vaccination screen will appear.

3. Enter the required details including photo, ID proof, name, gender, Date of birth, etc.

4. Click on Register.

5. Click on Schedule next to the name of the person registered.

6. Enter Pin code. (Centres in the added pin code will appear).

7. Select Date and Time.

8. Click on Confirm


  1. Open up the Aarogya setu app.
  2. Click on Co-WIN.
  3. Repeat the steps taken during the Co-WIN registration process.

UMANG APP (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance)

New User Registration

1. Go to the UMANG website.

2. Click User Login, then on New User.

3. Verify mobile number with OTP. 

4. Set MPIN screen will appear.

     Enter the MPIN (Mobile banking Personal Identification Number). 

5. Confirm MPIN with the same MPIN.

6. Click Next

7. The Security Question screen appears to recover MPIN (if forgot).

    Select two questions and give the answer to them.

8. Click Next to continue. 

    The Mobile Number Verification screen appears.

9. Enter the OTP received.

Existing User Login

1. Using a Mobile number.

           (i) Launch the UMANG website.

           (ii) Click User Login.

           (iii) Enter mobile number and MPIN. 

           (iv) Click on Login.

2. Using Social media

            (i) Link your social media account with your UMANG account.

            (ii) On the website, click User Login.

            (iii) Click anyone of the following Social Media icons: -

    • Facebook
    • Google
    • Twitter


The lack of internet access in most of India’s backward areas has become a major challenge for the country. As a result, people in these areas may not be able to book slots for the COVID-19 vaccination appointments. 

Therefore, National Health Authority chief RS Sharma has stated that those who are unable to access the internet in rural areas can now call the helpline number 1075 to schedule a vaccine appointment.


Before vaccination

  1. Don’t take vaccine on an empty stomach. 
  2. Eat well including leafy vegetables, food rich in antioxidants that help boost immunity.
  3. Stay hydrated.
  4. Get enough sleep at night because it has been scientifically proven that good sleep at night helps improve immunity. 
  5. Avoid excess consumptions of alcohol as it leads to dehydration.
  6. To avoid side effects, avoid taking medicines like pain killers or aspirin.
  7. Wear a sleeveless or short-sleeved cloth to facilitate getting an injection on the arm.
  8. Carry the ID that was used during registration.

After vaccination

  • Stay seated at the vaccination center for 15-30 minutes so that health workers can monitor you if you have any immediate reactions such as vomiting, nausea, or allergic reactions, etc.
  • Stay hydrated and wear light clothes.
  • Be prepared for some minor side effects as the body builds immune protection. It could last for 2 or 3 days.
  • The side effects may be: -
  • Pain and redness at the site of injection.
  • Chills and mild fever.
  • Headache, Joint and muscle pain.
  • Fatigue and body ache.
  • If you notice any of the above symptoms, take paracetamol. Contact your doctor right away if it lasts more than a week.
  • Remember to collect the provisional certificate of vaccine from the center, and schedule an appointment for the second dose of the vaccine.
  • After the second dose, similar symptoms seen after the first dose may occur. If it continues for 1-2 days or more, immediately contact your doctor.
  • The antibodies that develop after the second dose, reach the protective level after 15 days. Hence, don't let up on the security measures.
  • If you wish to take a vaccine for any other medical condition, maintain a gap of at least 14 days after taking the covid-19 vaccine.
  • After the second dose, you will receive the message for completion of the schedule and the link to download the final digital certificate.



  • Visit the official website.
  • Sign in or Register with the registered mobile number. 
  • Verify your registered mobile number with OTP.
  • Once you login in, there will be a Certificate tab under your name.
  • Click on the Download button to get the soft copy of the certificate.

Aarogya Setu App

  • Get into the app (ensure the Bluetooth is turned on).
  • Sign in using your mobile number and click on the Co-WIN tab at the top.
  • Click on the Vaccination Certificate option and enter your 13-digit beneficiary reference ID. Click on the Download button.
